I live near the coast and the scenery over the sea always fascinates me. This painting tells of the mood at night on a gentle sea, when the little light softens shapes and movements and the stillness captures the soul. The almost monochrome painting gives the viewer the opportunity to mentally drift out into the unbelievable distance of the sea and the night and lose themselves in meditation.
