About this artwork
North of the Arctic Circle, the Norwegian Lofoten island chain lies far out of the ocean. There I visited the lonely fishing town of Nusfjord, whose harbor, protected by rocks, is home to some typical Norwegian wooden fishing boats. When I visited this summer, this place, often storm-tossed in the winter months, with its clear turquoise water and fishing boats safely moored in the harbor, was so peaceful and inviting that you wanted to stay forever.…
“Nusfjord i Lofoten” describes this place and that indescribable feeling when you experience summer in the polar regions. What a beautiful moment.
