Snakes symbolize both fear and truth for Miller: "I can never actually remember how to tell the harmless snakes from the deadly ones, so they are all deadly."

Hazel Miller is an exciting American talent whose works have featured in exhibitions and prizes in the US and Canada. Drawing inspiration from observations in daily life, such as passing thoughts, moods and feelings, she composes works that focus on the nature of perspective, the female experience and the concepts of internal and external body and mind.
