About this artwork
On a trip to Iceland, I saw beautiful old radios in museums, the same ones we used to have at home. I'd long had old, scrubbed polystyrene panels in my studio, which suddenly seemed perfectly suited as a base for the old radios. This way, I could rest my hands on the raised edge and meditatively draw every single pore of the speaker—a pleasurable activity, a way to reset after a trip.
