About this artwork
The need of rootlessness allows the spiritual roots of the butterfly to grow from the fusion with the flower ... The work represents a development process. At first the butterfly is without roots, then it gets even bigger wings and at the end it takes root in the flowers many fine roots. Is it Spiritual Roots?

« I call my art 'Sacred Art' or 'Soul Art'. It is the mediator between the spiritual and the material worlds. »
Helga Fruendt is an experienced artist based in India whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Germany. Through her vivid works, she endeavors to express her soul, as well as interior landscapes, emotions, sensations, and "the energies behind the facade of the foreground". Fruendt believes that encounters with an inner light can bring about healing. She most often creates with acrylics and collage on canvas or wood.
