As if the Sky Itself Was Burning I depicts an abstracted landscape at a moment of transition – inspired by a breaking evening sky where light penetrates through fragmented cloud formations, rearranging the colors of the space. Glowing reds and oranges meet cool shades of blue and gray, creating a dynamic yet balanced composition.
The surface is characterized by a vibrant interplay of impasto brushstrokes and finely blended layers of color. The… deliberate use of brush and palette knife creates a multi-layered structure that simultaneously conveys depth and movement.
