I paint with acrylics on 140 lb. cold-press water color paper; using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
Recently a woman purchased one of my crow prints to give to a friend who has lost her father. It got me thinking about crows connection to death, from there I decided to add these crows to an abstract painting that I had already… started. The crows represent my kitties on their last journey heading toward the rainbow bridge. They are almost seventeen and have had happy lives. We love them so much and are going to miss them dearly.
