About this artwork
This photo is part of the "Sur fond noir" series
"These photographs by Igor B. Glik once again and again raise the question that arose from the birth of photography, that of its relation to painting.
These figures and objects emerging from black seem to come from another space. Light guides the eye of the spectator towards the details chosen by the artist hiding them in black, "the rest is silence". "
(LensCulture, 2018)
Digital shooting,… chromogenic (chemical) print;
framed in American cases (without glass) these photographs are presented as paintings
Other printing options (cheaper) are possible on request

« My paintings are often conversations that I have with painters from the more to less recent past. »
Igor Bitman, a painter and photographer who resides in France, has exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and China. The main theme in his works is beauty and ‘seizing beauty that goes away’. For this reason, Bitman’s paintings and photographs highlight the beauty of the feminine form. His favorite techniques include traditional oil, oil pastel and encaustic painting with beeswax.
