About this artwork
In this work, I have used oil and charcoal to capture the complexity of human emotions. My focus on realism and symbolism intertwine to explore the mask we all wear. Masquerade invites us into the fantasy of carnival, where nothing is what it seems, and everything can be and happen.
The brushstrokes and vivid colors reflect the hidden feelings and inner struggle that often remains invisible. This painting adds a deep and reflective energy to any… space, inviting the viewer to contemplate the true essence behind our everyday facades.

Francisco Javier Molina is a multifaceted artist who creates through drawing, painting, sculpture and experimental techniques. His curiosity and ingenuity shine through in each of his pieces, developing his own techniques, fusing the traditional with the innovative. His work stands out for its intricate exploration of human facets, transmitting the beauty rooted in our dualities, complexities and contrasts.
It has been said that Francisco Molina paints like a sculptor, creating forms that escape the plane, bordering on the third dimension.
The vast majority of his works reveal the human being in a chaotic, confusing and solitary environment, in an internal search for evolution. In the eyes of these beings we can find the great questions of humanity.
For the author, the spectator is as much a protagonist as the beings that inhabit this world.
Francisco Molina is a complete, versatile artist with surprising creativity.
