About this artwork
A separate theme in my art is the sea. I called it “Into the Harbor. It seems to me that, parting in front of the waves and hurrying, the ship is heading home, where it is waiting.
Since I write about my moods, the desire to paint the sea, a sea wave arises after being at sea.
This painting is based on and inspired by Martin Ruzek's sea paintings.
It is painted arbitrarily. To be historically correct, I looked for images of frigates and sails in… old prints.
I tried to capture the palette of seawater colors, from ultramarine to indigo, with flecks of turquoise and sky blue.
The painting is painted on linen canvas. It is framed in a double baguette - the inner part is pink in tone with the sunset, the outer frame is dark blue in tone with the sea.
The painting is ready to hang on the wall.
I am an artist dedicated to Dramatic Realism. My work is a search for inner light, where I transform simple motifs into powerful emotional statements. Using the classical principle of Chiaroscuro, I create a tense, expressive atmosphere where every shadow serves to emphasize the triumph of light. Technique and Approach
Impasto is the soul of my technique. To achieve ultimate depth and permanence, I work exclusively with Michael Harding professional oil paints. Their rich, historical pigments allow me to create a palpable, tactile surface where colors radiate an "inner illumination" from the darkness of the canvas. Primary Genres
I specialize in Still Lifes and Landscapes. For me, every subject—from a velvet plum to a sea wave—is a key to conceptual perception. My works are stories of harmony, old-world mastery, and the raw, beautiful power of texture.
