As in the deep sea, light is missing – not in the literal sense, but in the spiritual sense.
There is a world beneath our attention, beneath the headlines,
Below the bounds of speech. Red heat, blue retreat, black rumbling.
This is where the tsunami begins – not as a wave,
but as a hunch.
Not loud. An impulse that slowly sets in motion and reaches the shores of our reality.
The picture shows… no drama.
It's before that.
It is the moment when the water retreats, the sand is exposed
and no one knows for sure whether it is silence or a harbinger.
If you look closely, you will see that nothing remains as it was –
not even in depth.
