About this artwork
In this work, I used acrylic and chalk to capture the intense connection between two people. The expressionistic style allows their emotions and closeness to become visible in powerful colors and dynamic forms. It's about the need for touch and the silent understanding that resonates in intimacy—a feeling that fills any space with warmth and depth.

Iris Schiebener primarily uses oil painting, bringing a solid foundation to her work through her background in graphic design and her studies in painting and graphics. Her landscapes are abstract and reduced, while her nudes are more realistic and detailed. She experiments with contrasts between natural motifs and human representations, thus creating striking moods. Her works invite the viewer to lose themselves in the diversity and fleetingness of the moment and convey a deep, empathetic connection to nature.
