About this artwork
In my art I worked with Indian ink and created a semi-abstract representation. Like a reminder of the fragility of life, this drawing flows with emotion and leaves space for reflection. The dark tones and soft lines combine to create an energetic composition that gives every room a profound atmosphere.

Iris Vitzthum is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Japan, China, and the United States. She describes her artistic process as originating from the observation of her surroundings. Searching for the substrate, Vitzthum says that she steals, destroys, lies, and exaggerates in her surreal compositions. She creates using acrylics, oils, pigments, and India ink on canvas.
