In this work I worked with Indian ink to explore the depth of the semi-abstract. My drawing is an emotional journey, a bold stroke against textured backgrounds that exudes energy and vibrancy. The contrast reflects the tension between order and chaos, a dance of shapes and shadows that fascinates and makes you think. This energy expression will provide a passionate presence in any room.

Iris Vitzthum is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Japan, China, and the United States. She describes her artistic process as originating from the observation of her surroundings. Searching for the substrate, Vitzthum says that she steals, destroys, lies, and exaggerates in her surreal compositions. She creates using acrylics, oils, pigments, and India ink on canvas.
