About this artwork
In my artwork, I created a vibrant depiction of a rooster in acrylic. Its energetic presence and vibrant plumage speak of pride and strength that I wanted to capture. The dark background color highlights its radiant presence. This painting brings an atmosphere of encouragement and undaunted spirit to any home, a constant reminder of the power and beauty of nature.

Irmtraut Behrens, an artist from Bremen, uses acrylic paint and canvas, but started with pastel chalk on cardboard. Her palette ranges from erotic images of women, abstract works to animal images. Her style is variable, always characterized by a strong sensitivity. Irmtraut's art embodies the feeling of joy. It makes her happy when someone decides to live with her works.
In 1999 she moved to Husum on the beautiful North Sea coast with its wonderful light and cloud formations.
Exhibitions in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Denmark were quite successful.
