About this artwork
This scene was painted from the view of our apartment in Croatia, in the soft stillness of the afternoon. The morning rush is over — towels lie on sunbeds, and guests quietly enjoy the sun, the pool, and the scent of cypress trees.
The air is warm, the hills glow in the background, and time seems to slow down. I wanted to capture that gentle, sleepy moment when the day is already full — and yet not quite over.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
