About this artwork
I painted this piece en plein air in Turkey, inspired by the clear, sunlit water and the stones beneath the surface. I loved how the light reveals their soft shapes and colors, almost like hidden little worlds.
For me, this painting is about calmness — the quiet feeling of looking into the water, where everything slows down and becomes simple and clear. And I was searching for the colors of the stones—they turned out to be so varied, with every… spectrum. It was fascinating to see such a rich range hidden there

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
