About this artwork
I decided to depict the ukrainian doll and the vase, which was also made in Ukraine, as a reminder and a bit of nostalgia, an autumnal longing for my homeland. This doll was gifted to me and made with my husband’s sister, and the vase was brought from Ukraine. Together, they complement each other. The red berries also grow in Ukraine, but I bought them in Austria, and I think they look very picturesque in the gray vase.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
