About this artwork

A vibrant red amaryllis, the flower of Christmas and hope, stands tall against a cloudy sky with glimpses of light breaking through. The festive still life, with evergreen branches, ornaments, and a reflective glass vase, was created in the studio on a gloomy day just before Christmas, bringing warmth and light to the season.

Unfortunately, the work was stolen and is currently being sought by its owner.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
