About this artwork
After "Holding on" follows "Opening up". This picture offers a lot of room for interpretation: you can make out an object, such as a head. The picture opening to the top right is unmistakable. This picture was taken during the Corona pandemic in the second lock-down. The technique of applying and removing results in a special background with marbled structures.

The combination of graphic vision and painterly sensibility form the basis for Isa Huss' creative expression. A main source of inspiration, the Moorish, adds a special atmosphere. With numerous layers of color, the artist creates delicate structures and contrasts that become clear in close-up. At the same time, a harmonious result is revealed from a distance.
Life leaves traces and scratches, which the artist deliberately highlights on the canvas. Her aim is to capture the individual energy in the act of painting: be it calm and concentration with a fine brushstroke or joy and strength with an energetic impulse.
