In this digital work, I explored surrealism by merging the hustle and bustle of urban life with the emotional depth of expressionism. By juxtaposing a contemporary woman absorbed in her phone with the striking graffiti image that appears to be surveying the scene, I wanted to capture the irony of our isolation in the crowd. From a very young age, she has felt the suffering inflicted upon the planet, and on those who inhabit it. She translates this "burden" through her art.
