About this artwork
In this digital work, I explored surrealism by merging the hustle and bustle of urban life with the emotional depth of expressionism. By juxtaposing a contemporary woman absorbed in her phone with the striking graffiti image that appears to be surveying the scene, I wanted to capture the irony of our isolation in the crowd. From a very young age, she has felt the suffering inflicted upon the planet, and on those who inhabit it. She translates this "burden" through her art. Isael's diverse compositions are expressed with photography, digital creations, oil paintings, as well as charcoal and black stone drawings.
