About this artwork
In creating this piece, I aimed to capture the essence of movement of prayers. In February 2024 I visited Darjeeling and saw that the local Buddhists hang prayers written on colourful flags high up on strings. So that when wind blows, it carries the prayers with it and spread to all. To capture this movement of prayers, I used the Intentional Camera Movement technique, which resulted in fluid, almost ethereal movement of colours blending together…
like a dance of light and shadow. This artwork is a digital expression of motion, where vivid swatches of colors whirl in an abstract yet harmonious array, evoking a sense of freedom and dynamic change. The blurred lines and soft edges impart a dreamlike quality, inviting viewers to feel the energy and rhythm of an unseen dance. It's meant to instill a sense of peace and inspiration, a colorful burst that energizes any space it inhabits.
