« I walk a lot. I take real and mental photos of what is relevant or singularly banal. The resulting drawing is a mixture of those images, of those moments, lived. »
Ivan Rickenmann is an artist based in Colombia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, France, the Dominican Republic, China, Puerto Rico, Panama, and Mexico. Intrigued by the everyday banalities that nobody notices but structures our lives, his works attempt to achieve beauty through ugliness. Through his art, Rickenmann seeks to recreate "lived moments".
