About this artwork
The bales of hay evoke a mechanized field. They are nice objects, with character, loaded with memory. They have become a kind of travel bags, suitcases of memories. The drawing here goes a bit in reverse: it is drawing with eraser.

Credentials
- Works on commission
« I walk a lot. I take real and mental photos of what is relevant or singularly banal. The resulting drawing is a mixture of those images, of those moments, lived. »
Ivan Rickenmann is an artist based in Colombia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, France, the Dominican Republic, China, Puerto Rico, Panama, and Mexico. Intrigued by the everyday banalities that nobody notices but structures our lives, his works attempt to achieve beauty through ugliness. Through his art, Rickenmann seeks to recreate "lived moments".
