About this artwork
The series "Verschlungen" (Entwined) explores the tension between materiality and formal dissolution. I work with the industrial material sheet steel and deliberately employ processes of decay (rust) to visualize change and transformation. "Verschlungen V" addresses the interweaving of strength and fragility, of structure and dissolution. The sculpture appears like a frozen moment of a movement that takes place both internally and externally.
