About this artwork
This work is part of a series I have titled Flow.
Like the others in this series, it evokes breathing - the gesture that matches the rhythm of a slow and deep breath.
The lines, slightly overlapping, are drawn with an almost meditative regularity, seeking to achieve a state of inner calm, a form of serenity.
The fluidity of the gesture is enhanced by the support: a 260 g/m² photo paper, whose smooth surface offers me the possibility of oscillating… between control and letting go - both in the body and in the mind.

J.LEI is a self-taught artist with a passion for contemporary art, who favors drawing on secondhand materials gathered during her travels and international experiences. She adopts an instinctive and meditative approach, using simple tools to weave organic and abstract lines in a harmony born of imperfection, where each work follows its own rhythm and engages in a dialogue between control and letting go. Her works exude a profound gentleness mingled with intensity, seeking to transform the anxieties of the world into spaces of contemplation and serenity. https://www.jlei-art.com/
