About this artwork
My family lineage hails from a rural area called the Langkloof in South Africa. I visited the region on a quest for personal meaning and reconnection with my ancestral past. In the end, this vain search for connection in retracing my roots ended up in offering more questions than answers, obscured by personal yearning and loss.
