About this artwork
"The Rocket Builders" are inspired by several ideas such as societal hierarchy, ruling class or as Plato calls them "Guardians" who in an ideal society would look out for what is best for society but as we've seen throughout history most of the time that's not the case. These politicians have become rocket builders and only a push of a button away from destroying part of human population. Perhaps ideas from reading Thomas Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow"…
about a year ago has resurfaced in my mind.

« For me art is about taking my personal experiences, thoughts and interior monologues and creating visual experiences that in turn will open up a new world of imagination and experience for the viewer. »
Jack Avetisyan is an Armenian-American artist whose paintings display various distinctive identities. His style oscillates between cartoons and abstract compositions, often combining the two into a single piece. His subjects are business people, worldly young adults, old-school sophisticates, who are typically self-satisfied and reeking of financial and social success. His characters occupy an unruly yet elegant a world of drips, darting lines, and swaths of paint.
