« For me art is about taking my personal experiences, thoughts and interior monologues and creating visual experiences that in turn will open up a new world of imagination and experience for the viewer. »
Jack Avetisyan is an Armenian-American artist whose paintings display various distinctive identities. His style oscillates between cartoons and abstract compositions, often combining the two into a single piece. His subjects are business people, worldly young adults, old-school sophisticates, who are typically self-satisfied and reeking of financial and social success. His characters occupy an unruly yet elegant a world of drips, darting lines, and swaths of paint.
