About this artwork
A metaphor for the paths of life.
A labyrinth structured on multiple levels, some paths touch each other, others observe each other from a distance without ever being able to reach each other, still others remain completely separate.
In fact, we only intercept the paths of people we actually meet.
The relationship between the two characters is emblematic: a woman observes a man from above and, at the same time, the man looks back at her.
Their… paths, however, apparently never cross; they remain parallel, suspended.
The question remains as to whether they will ever find each other somehow.
The upper part is deliberately broken: the material disintegrates, the structure is lost, like a dream that dissolves.
Jacopo Berlendis, architect and painter, explores the fusion between design and art by cultivating natural and transformative themes. He uses earth and vegetation, modeling them in three-dimensional works which with acrylics and pigments interpret landscapes animated by a powerful physicality. His creations evoke a feeling of regeneration, revealing underground worlds of sublime material metamorphosis.
