About this artwork
In the suspended world of No Time, architecture multiplies in a tangle of stairways, arches, and passages that chase each other in silence.
In the center, a tower dominates the scene: its clock without hands is a symbol of an abolished time, of an absolute present in which everything happens and everything stops.
The light that comes from the tower's portal opens a threshold, a possible passage between two dimensions.
A dialogue between chaos… and order, nature and construction, time and timelessness.
No Time becomes a metaphor for the human desire to escape from chronology, to take refuge in an internal elsewhere where existence expands.
It is the timeless country – that secret place where, every now and then, we all would like to get lost.
Jacopo Berlendis, architect and painter, explores the fusion between design and art by cultivating natural and transformative themes. He uses earth and vegetation, modeling them in three-dimensional works which with acrylics and pigments interpret landscapes animated by a powerful physicality. His creations evoke a feeling of regeneration, revealing underground worlds of sublime material metamorphosis.
