This work explores the relationship between the human body and the forces that condition it; the figure is enveloped in a material that seems to simultaneously protect and imprison it.
The surface of the sculpture, although made of resin, simulates the density and complexity of wood, a choice that reflects the very concept of the work.
The figure appears partially hidden by draped forms that envelop the body, blurring its contours and transforming… it into a hybrid presence. This covering functions not only as a formal element, but as an extension of an inner state—a materialized conflict, containment, and resistance.
The closed posture, with arms drawn over the body, accentuates the feeling of retraction and introspection. There is a clear tension between the will to expand and the force that limits it, suggesting a silent confrontation between the individual wishing to exceed and opposing elements.
