Soft azure tones represent the same water in two states, it holds two temperatures, cool reason on the left, and warm longing on the right.
Part of the Correlation series, twenty unique diptychs dedicated to the Balkan landscape. This work explores dualism through opposing symbolic structures: blue-red, earth-sky, yin-yang.… Using the classical gum bichromate technique, a noble 19th-century photographic process, I create painterly, watercolor-like images that blur the line between photography and painting.
In an age of digitalization, this traditional technique offers tactile, handmade authenticity. The soft pastel hues evoke tranquility and introspection, a meditative dialogue with nature's quiet beauty.
