About this artwork
Section (Original Тitle Пресек),

Digital art, printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper
Limited Edition of 3
Hand-signed and numbered original
60 x 60 cm
Section (Пресек) turned out to be a symbol of something I didn’t know was happening to me. I made it before my inevitable surgery, not realising that my body was already speaking to me and asking for attention. The divided form and dense textures… somehow helped me begin to understand and process what I wasn’t yet fully aware of. Creating it was my way of holding myself together before everything came apart so that everything could come together.

Jana Lulovska, an interdisciplinary artist, is adept in photography, painting, printmaking, and digital mediums, a talent fostered from her Macedonian origins and global art education. Her style transitions seamlessly among mediums, merging abstract and figurative elements with photographic manipulations to create evocatively textured visuals. By intertwining feminist perspectives, human-nature relationships, and temporal elements in her thematically dense work, she studies the microcosm of the human experience. Lulovska's art radiates authentic engagement, fostering consciousness, empathy and a transformative healing, inviting the viewer into introspection and positive change.
