About this artwork
In this work the colour black is important. A symbol of death, mourning, and the end of a season. Yet, when someone dies an inheritance is left to the next generation. The title of this work alludes to a life well lived, and leaving the next generation a chance of a better life - a life lived in a way that creates an even better legacy.
