About this artwork
In this work you see an egg on an industrial device, a coin with a queen-bird and the word God (at the bottom), and a slot to put a coin in.
The work is about the trinity of nature-human-technology. Where we as humans see nature as something around us instead of being part of it, we also see technology as non-human and non-natural.
I see nature with us and our creations as one. In times where nature (for example Covid-19) hits the eco-system of… humans, we adopt easily to technological developments that otherwise seemed dangerous or threatening.
But to make even more plain; if nature created humans and humans created instruments/technology, than we are one in the system. (Please take a look at Koert van Mensvoort and his NextNatureNetwork. In my opinion he explains it really well.)

« I create moving objects, sometimes humorous, to share my love for wonder and joy for curiosity. Nature and technology merge in moving poetry. »
Jasper Kooper is a sculptor based in the Netherlands whose works have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by the natural movements of flora and fauna and technological principles, he creates moving installations. In addition, Kooper produces drawings and sketches based on nature. His "moving poetry", which is sometimes humorous, is intended to share his love of wonderment, joy, and curiosity.
