About this artwork
Evolvens is part of Alma, an extensive series of paintings in which I explore the most intimate spaces of emotional experience. Through these works, I seek to delve into what remains hidden beneath the surface of our emotions, using painting as a means of inner exploration.
In this work, I employ a palette that is particularly significant within the series: Payne's gray, copper, and a titanic ecru. These are colors with which I feel a special connection… and which I believe best express my emotional universe. With them, I construct atmospheres where depth, silence, and inner light coexist.
In Evolvens, I attempt to take this exploration a step further. The forms and glazes unfold, creating a sense of descent, as if the gaze were gradually entering an ever-deepening inner space. The composition leads to a central point where the paint seems to open up, inviting this immersion.

Javier Santana is a Spanish artist whose paintings have been exhibited in solo and group events nationally. His work flows into two directions. One of which Santana refers to as his "Emotional Landscapes", through which he relates abstract themes through vibrant colors. The other vein of compositions blends abstract with street art, where his graffiti "speaks". It is his intention that these pieces invite awareness and a better world, or simply explain how he feels.
