About this artwork
I approach the body not as a fixed form, but as a site that shifts, absorbs, and reorganizes — continuously, in relation to everything around it.
For five years, I worked in refugee camps across multiple countries. What stayed with me was watching someone continue through conditions that offered no resolution. That persistence became the pressure behind my work — and a question I never stopped asking: what does the body hold, after everything it… has passed through?
Figures began to fracture and dissolve into the landscapes around them. The body was no longer standing against the world. It was continuous with it.
As it becomes continuous, the body carries what surrounds it — borders, pressures, the slow residue of lived conditions. They take root inside us, as tension, as a reshaping of how one inhabits space and time. My work traces that process. Not the moment of crossing, but what remains after.
My paintings do not resolve what they open. They accumulate.
The tension persists.
