About this artwork
San Francisco is a mythical port in North America, anchored and developed with the gold rush. Equally emblematic, the bridge that connects it to the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate. And of course the omnipresent fog in the bay and on the slopes of San Francisco. Jean-Claude Pallier chose a representation all in verticality to show the gigantism of the bridge, and he created a hole of sunlight in the fog, to translate the intensity of the moment, the… new life within everyone's reach, as long as they take to the sea.
« The alchemy of the light of the sky and water, the infinite variety of their combined reflections are the basis of the emotions that I invite you to share. »
Jean-Claude Pallier is an experienced artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Inspired by the sea in all its forms, he is equally as fascinated by ships, the light of coastal landscapes, and the atmospheres of ports, which is translated through his works. Pallier creates in a realistic and figurative style, favoring acrylics on linen.
