About this artwork
Allegory (recylArt).
Every year in South Africa, between June and July, millions of sardines follow the cool, plankton-laden waters of the southern coast. In their wake, they attract hundreds of predators. This is the famous Sardine Run. Copper sharks, bulls, black tips, tigers and great whites have a great time. Dolphins, killer whales, bryde's whales are also in the game. In the air, Cape boobies and cormorants huddle together and swoop down on… their prey.
Warning: The flashing colored LEDs have been replaced by fixed white LEDs.
