About this artwork
The Angustias Passage is located in the north-central part of the island of La Palma,
above the Caldera del Taburiente, west side.
It is a hike in a valley where a torrent remains surrounded
of rocky blocks, of which you have an example of abstract polychromy
before the eyes. The drawing is absolutely figurative and the colors very
slightly highlighted in order to compensate for erosion from wind, water
and temperature variations which tend… to water down or pastelize
until the pre-disappearance of the richness of the hues. It is a real bas-relief
polychrome that nature offers you. One of his countless masterpieces…
