A fur coat dotted with opalescent curves
White, purple, mauve and brown stripes
Sand licking itself with rolling waves
Among the creeping flats, bouncing so much
And everywhere overlapping all around His
Nonchalant Majesty, slumbering shadow,
Always on the lookout beneath the turquoise field
Clinging to the clouds of flying foam beneath the
Spherical… ceiling, crocodile under a bell jar in the bath
Marinant, a figure posing for the show,
Sumptuous granite trinket with tentacles
Neptune's arm, rhythmic assaults to be forged
