The island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, is dotted with numerous craters and lava fields. Timanfaya lies to the south, its landscape covered in black sand dunes where endemic vegetation thrives, like this tiny, isolated bush in the vast sandy expanse… The fog forms a curtain, isolating the background from the rest of the scene and concealing it from prying eyes.
