About this artwork
This sculpture is a gypsy woman, created with resin and wood, copper, iron, and fiberglass, all with a patina of pink fuschia and green emerald pigments. In her hands, she holds castanets, and her dance is intensified by the twisting of the copper all around her body to emphasize the movement. The pedestal is made of wood.
