He dreamed… Of the silence that falls on the pond in the evening, of the sound of the wind in the autumn leaves, of the freckles on the body of the forest, of the sun tired of lighting the path towards winter, of the mirror of the water of the alley that reflects his aging face, of the colored vibrations of the ambient air… He dreamed, quite simply, of the present moment. And time, suddenly, froze.
It was then that he triggered his camera. He knew… that for him it was not only a question of writing with light, but also and above all of knowing how to tame time, of blocking the hands of watches.
Showing and especially sharing his emotions was the goal of his wanderings. Does he continue to dream?
His photographs were taken in Belgium and are available in 50 X 75 cm format on Museum paper. Framing on request, external frame size 61 X 91 cm.
Jean-Luc Wasmes, trained as a photographer at InRaCi, devoted himself to digital art after his retirement. An expert in black and white, he embraced color, thanks to his move to digital, simplifying the representation of his visions. His works, shaped by light, provoke emotions, setting the viewer's gaze and thoughts in motion.
