About this artwork
In this painting, I brought together a white horse and a soaring hawk moving through a swirling vortex of energy, their motion so aligned they feel like a single force. The horse's powerful gallop and the hawk's expansive wingspan echo one another, creating a unified expression of strength and freedom.
The background pulses with blues, purples, and whites suggesting a dynamic wave of emotion that carries both figures forward. Textured earth tones… beneath them provide a grounded counterpoint to the swirling energy above, reflecting the balance between being rooted and reaching beyond.
I built this composition through layered oil technique, adding depth and atmosphere that heightens the sensation of moving through something transformative.
