A monument to past ideals, a storm of change - Downfall of the Muses shows the decay of once sacrosanct values. Sculptures from a bygone era stand for freedom, culture and humanism, but in the background a fire of upheaval blazes.
The heroic gesture of the characters encounters an unstoppable force. What once seemed stable is swallowed up by time - no culture, no value system lasts forever.
But in the midst of the chaos,… new faces emerge, hidden in the whirlwind of change. They whisper of a future that is still uncertain. Downfall of the Muses is a picture of transition, a reflection on the fact that every era passes - and something new must emerge.
