About this artwork
This inspired me because of the subtle light and way the mountain is shaped. I was trying to do an impression of a mood, a feeling, atmosphere in the way I painted this piece.
Not focused on doing a mountain portrait as such. But capture how a mountain really is..
I hope that the viewer can pick up on the mood and that it gives them something... peace, what ever it may make them feel.

Jessie Pitt is an exciting artist whose paintings have been exhibited everywhere from Austria to Australia. Primarily inspired by mountainous landscapes like the ones she grew up around, she combines drawing and painting to capture the soul of such surroundings. Her resulting works are marked by sensitivity in mood, light, colour and space.
