About this artwork
This work in small square format for its modernity is part of a series of 10 paintings reflecting an abstract vision of several landscapes: underwater, urban, spatial, nature.
It is framed in a 27X27cm glass box 6 cm thick and painted with a knife with the use of mixed techniques. Paintings with effects, acrylic, the work of the material are put in the spotlight.
The colors in shades of yellow and orange transcribe this mirage well in the heavy… heat of the Sahara, but you can also let your imagination run wild!
These warm colors are enhanced with gold leaf to accentuate the light and warmth emanating from this work!

Joëlle Darmon is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Inspired by Fauvism and Expressionism, she describes her artistic quest as being nourished by the richness of landscapes, the sea, flora, and fauna. However, Joëlle Darmon's "aspirations" gravitate towards abstraction and semi-abstractism, where she finds themes connected to her sensitivity and creativity. Her works speak of hope, serenity, freedom, and the preservation of nature.
