About this artwork
The work depicts a man who seems to have grown into the stone—an ancient figure, shaped by time, wind, and sun. Amidst the barren landscape of Death Valley, the shaman rises, half human, half rock, a symbol of the connection between nature and spirit. His posture is reminiscent of a mountaineer who, in a moment of pause, grasps the vastness and harshness of the world.
The earthy, raw colors emphasize the archaic power of the image. Every crack in… the stone and every wrinkle on the face speaks of inner transformation and a spiritual journey.
